PC Brother Disk Cleaner is a utility that will detect unnecessary files and wipe them from your hard disk. Those files waste your hard disk space. This can also result in lower system performance, since the system will waste time looking for free disk space to save your new files. This free utility will scan your entire system for temporary files, the contents of the recycle bin, list of recent files, downloaded files, prefetch files, cookies and Windows updates. There are different categories of files to delete. You can choose to scan for all of them, or just some of them. The program has predefined rules to mark a file for deletion (prefixes, extensions, suffixes...), but you can add as many rules as you want using logical expressions.
Once done, it will present you a list of found files. You can then select which ones to delete, and which ones to keep. When you press the "Clean" button, the program will wipe the selected files from your disk, freeing up the space they were occupying on your hard disk.
